Preventive care

The best dental problem is the one that never starts

Our preventive visits keep your child's teeth healthy and catch small issues before they become big ones.

Dental Sealants

A thin protective coating painted onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth to seal out food and plaque. The deep grooves where most childhood cavities form are nearly impossible to clean with a toothbrush alone. Application is quick, comfortable, and takes just one visit — and your child can eat right after.

Digital X-rays

We use digital radiography, which captures highly detailed images using up to 90% less radiation than conventional film. A small sensor records the image and sends it instantly to the computer, helping us diagnose accurately and plan the best treatment for your child.

Protecting comfort, bite, and a developing smile

When a tooth is decayed, injured, or infected, restoring it protects your child's comfort and growing smile.

Pulpotomy (Baby Root Canal)

A pulpotomy saves a baby tooth when the nerve (pulp) inside it has become infected by decay or injured by trauma. Left untreated, that infection can spread to the bone around the developing tooth, cause facial swelling, and lead to tooth loss. We remove the infected portion of the pulp, then clean, medicate, and seal the area — and a stainless steel crown is usually placed afterward to protect the tooth from fracturing.

Crowns for Children

When decay or a fracture leaves too little tooth for a filling — or after a pulpotomy — a crown restores and protects the tooth. We offer several options:

Crown type Best for Why families choose it
Tooth-colored composite Fractured or badly decayed front teeth Bonded directly to the tooth; closely matches natural tooth color
Cheng Crowns Front teeth needing a durable, natural look Stain-resistant resin; color-stable and durable
EZ Crowns (solid zirconia) Front or back teeth where strength + looks matter One biocompatible color, glazed smooth, impermeable to staining, exceptionally strong
Stainless steel Back teeth with major decay or after nerve treatment Time-tested and durable; prevents the tooth from fracturing

Caring for a crowned tooth: avoid sticky foods such as hard candy, caramel, and taffy. A crowned baby tooth will fall out naturally when the permanent tooth is ready to come in.

Guiding how teeth and jaws develop

Guiding development can reduce — or even prevent — the need for braces later.

Space Maintainers

Holds open the space left by a baby tooth that's lost too early, so the adult tooth has room to come in properly. Can be fixed or removable — a commonly used type is the band-and-loop.

Palatal Expanders

An arch expander gently widens the dental arch to create proper alignment, giving permanent teeth room to erupt naturally. Used at the right age, it can minimize or eliminate the need for braces later.

Habit Appliances

Thumb-sucking appliances help a child stop sucking their thumb and prevent an open bite, while tongue-thrust appliances correct a tongue-thrusting (swallowing) habit.

Our technology

A fully paperless, digital office

X-rays and charting are recorded electronically, keeping your child's records standardized, accurate, and easy to share securely with your other healthcare providers. The only paperwork you'll fill out is your first-visit forms — and even those are scanned into our system.
